New sights on site at REACCH!

Welcome back to the first blogpost of 2025-26.

Over the summer Paul and Mary’s brother Dave have been busy making repairs to the Underbarn. This has been quite a project! It has needed a new roof as the old one leaked as did the old door...and we have also renewed the floor! It has been given added insulation and boards have been renewed. The final electrical checks will be finalised in the Autumn break.

We are hoping it will be ready for use for November. It will be a base for several REACCH members with individual rooms and a shared space in the middle. There may be some slight moves for some REACCH members, but we are all looking forward to having an extra work space. The photos below will give you an idea of where it’s at now. We look forward to sharing more photos when we’ve moved in.

In other site news we have a TV. It has been installed in Horseshoe Barn which will be a welcome addition for REACCH members based there to use in their social times. It is a smart tv so we can use it to access the internet, and it also has an inbuilt DVD player. Some of our purchases are a result of kind donations we receive, and we are very thankful for these.
