In the summertime when the weather is fine...

A couple of weeks ago we had our REACCH Summer Friends & Families Day.

The weather was really kind to us that day and we welcomed visitors for the whole afternoon. We set it up like an outdoor market to showcase all the work that we do and a variety of different items are available on the day and order for ... Christmas (sshh!).

We had our favourite wood goods available plus some new items such as flower presses and beautiful planted pictures that were living artwork on easels. There was an abundance of plants available to buy, as well as fruit and vegetable grown by Diverse Unique Growers (DUG). Also for sale was a beautiful range of crafts including hand-painted tea towels, tie-dye bags and pocket hugs.

Refreshments were served with everyone's favourite sweet and savoury treats. There was a wood-carving demonstration for people to see.

Of course, we had everyone's favourite raffle plus a new game of guessing on a map where the pirate treasure was hidden. Jack W was showing his music. And ice cream was a perfect way for everyone to cool down. 

Thank you very much to everyone who came on the day and to those who donated or participated by buying raffle tickets. A very helpful amount of money was raised and we are very appreciative! Enjoy the photos, and we wish everyone a safe and fun summer!
